Risoul, a village of 656 habitants is located in the French South Alps near the Italian border. It belongs to the Provence-Alpes-Côte d ́Azur Region in the « Hautes Alpes » department (05).

An Altitude Resort;
Risoul La Forêt Blanche is one of the most popular ski resorts in the Southern Alps. The ski area, the accommodation, the non-skiing and all-season activities, makes from RISOUL an essential place in the Hautes-Alpes. (Elevation : 1850m, Orientation : NORTH Face). Snow and Sun are united.

The Risoul La « Forêt Blanche » ski area;
The ski area is structured by 37 ski lifts, 111 slopes.
RISOUL 1850 and VARS constitute the « Forêt Blanche » ski area (185 kilometers of downhill ski slopes), which offers to the customers an exceptional site between 1,850 and 2,750 meters above sea level.
The main part of the slopes are oriented north face, which ensures a high quality of snow.
Snowfalls are reinforced by the permanent deployment of artificial snowmaking facilities (ASF) to ensure snow quality all along the winter.
Short and medium term investments concern the replacement of some lifts by large carriers to improve customer comfort.

The location of the hotel within the resort;
Sitting at the top of the central street, the SNOW CHILL Hotel is in the heart of the village, where most of the shops are located. About 40 meters separate the hotel from the snow front, which gives a ideal location.

A LOUNGE BAR, After your long skiing afternoons, you can experience real moments of conviviality. Specifically designed to offer a warm and relaxing atmosphere, you will enjoy a cocktail near a pellet stove in the company of your family or friends.

A BISTRONOMIC RESTAURANT, With menus for delicate and demanding taste buds. The diffrent dishes are cooked with fresh and local products. SNOW CHILL Hotel also offers an extensive wine list.

A WELLNESS CENTRE, with:
- A hot, dry sauna with a temperature that can vary between 70 and 100 ° C, optimal for muscle relaxation after exercise.
- A gym for people wishing to get back in shape.
- A massage cabin, and a menu of relaxing treatments.
- A floating tank. Immersed in a solution of magnesium sulphates and deprived of any sensory stimulus, you can enjoy a unique experience, for a quality restorative rest.

I had a quick stay of 4 days / 3 nights in this magnificent hotel in Risoul Station. Perfect welcome to drop off luggage and valet service. Arrived in the morning I was able to change, leave my car and luggage, rent skis and ski pass in less than 35 minutes. This hotel, very quiet, is not on the frond of snow but a 30 m walk from the snow front. Ski room and rental shop attached to the hotel (actually below) My superior room was large, clean with a superb walk-in shower. Snow chill embroidered towels and bathrobes. Huge thumbs up for the catering evening meal which lived up to and even exceeded our expectations. a bravissimo for the quality of the Italian waiter Note a spa cabin that can hold 4 people. I therefore recommend this hotel to those who want to enjoy a luxury ski holiday.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and the very modern bathroom is a real asset. The staff are very attentive, always smiling! Finally, the restaurant is an excellent table, we dined there every day with half board and we have never been disappointed! The dishes are good and very well presented, the desserts delicious! We had a recent week-end stay at the Snow Chill and had an overall very pleasant stay.The hotel is ideally located next to the entrance to the ski lifts.You can reach it by car ,download your luggage and park at the municipal parking.It boasts about 40 rooms which have been recently renovated in simple but very good taste.The staff at the reception are friendly and helpful though make sure you don’t check in before 5 PM ,because your room is unlikely to be ready. The hotel offers a breakfast plan which has a very good selection and you can take the half-board with an evening menu which is quite worth it and unique in Risoul.The restaurant staff are great and you can choose from a few good wine choices to accompany your dining selection .Be mindful that the location can be a bit noisy at night from the outdoors crowd and that the noise insulation factor on the floors is good but not optimal.
