Very nice place. Very central Good for bars and ski lifts Good room and Bar prices. Staff very helpful and friendly. Most staff spoke English. Very clean. Food Quantity and range of choice excellent Food appearance beautiful Would be better if there was; At least 1 English speaking channel on TV. The food was generally over cooked and often dry, often not hot. Some updating of decor.

Week of wonderfull fun in the snow - With a family of 4 we stayed in Cristallo for a week. The location is absolutely fabulous, best spot in city center of Sestriere. The room was a bit small for four, also considering the price for a week. You pay substantially, mainly for location in town, I guess. The beds for the adults were excellent, children's folding beds a bit outdated and hard. We had a room with absolutely no view. We could open a window, which would give us a view on a pile of snow. But we were not there much, so no problem really. The rooms are relatively quiet, unless there are people with barking dogs next to you. We prefer not to have dogs in a hotel anyways. We think it's not very clean, also since there are carpets in the room. The rooms are very very clean, by the way! Staff is very friendly and helpful. In the bar, the reception and restaurant, all very nice and friendly. Why not 5 stars? Well, the wellness is really below par. The sauna's are small and not very hot at all. The hot-tub was broken all week (we did get a reduction in price for that of appr. 30 euro). We had half board: breakfast is great. Lots of things to choose from. Fruit, cake, bread, everything is there. Dinner is an abundance of food. The buffet is great (starters and deserts), the pastas are excellent. The meat is sometimes good, sometimes not so. All in all: a very nice week in the snow, that was however quite costly (over 5000 euro in total for a family of 4).

Our group of 21 had a blast - Recommended. This is not a 5-star property, but I’m not sure I saw any of those while we spent our week in the Vialetta. We were a group of 21, middle age couples mostly. We joined a group that had been going to Italy every January for years. The staff here were all friendly and accommodating. Food was good and we always had a good choice. Breakfast is buffet. Dinner is buffet for starters and then you chose a prima (often pasta) and secondi courses (meat, fish, etc). Dessert is again on a buffet. Lots of wines to choose from at reasonable prices. The place is just opposite the ticket window, rentals, and lifts. Couldn’t be much easier. Our room was warm (other reviews mention this). All of our rooms were warm. We shut the heat in the room and opened the windows when we needed to. Otherwise, the room was big and the bed was comfortable. Small, European shower squeezed into the corner of the tub. Two complaints: the bathroom is too dark. Not enough light. And the chairs in the room were uncomfortable to sit and read, etc. Great value for money. Nice people.

Great, central location in Sestriere - This was our first stay in Hotel Cristallo, on our 8th visit to Sestriere. The location is second to none, being extremely close to the main chair lift to the ski slopes and the shops in the centre of the village. The room was fairly small but comfortable, with a wide ranging breakfast included. The staff on the front desk were really nice and welcoming. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is in a beautiful location in front of it there is the golf club and is in a confortable location in Sestriere. The rooms are large, I booked for a double and it was very large, also the bathroom was nice. Just one defect, in my opinion, the lights in the room and in the bathroom was not so much. The service was wondeful, we had the Spa in the price and the requests during the breakfast were all satisfied.

Friendly smaller hotel Nice size hotel in comparison with some of the huge Frence ski ones we have stayed in before. Probably only about 40 rooms. Possibly because of this the staff are all really friendly and helpful, rembering for example that you like a fresh coffee in the morning, or what drink you like from the bar. ROOM. Paid a bit more for a front facing room which was a bit large than normal rooms. Good size, well speckled, and view of pieste. As it had two large windows was a bit cold, but they gave us small electric heater so no problem. FOOD. Nice breakfast. Coffee machine is awful, but ask the waiter food a fresh one or two, which is really nice. Evening food starts at 7.30 and most people go in then. 4 courses. First is a buffet. Second and third, you order the morning before. Really nice food, but not for those who want burger and chips. Great pasta, fish and other nice Italian food. GENERAL . Bar small and friendly, not badly priced drinks. Would have liked it a little warmer though. SKIING. Getting going is a bit unusual. You store your ski,s across the road one flour down in a free ski storage place. You keep your boots in a boot room lower floor in the hotel. From there you go up one floor and out of the front door across the road, down a level to pick up your skis. Take your skis down one flight of stairs to the slopes. Not too bad, just a bit unusual. Resort asking very good a slopes even over new year were a lot quieter than the big French ski resorts. Only neg is they seem quite quick to close lifts. Overall would come back, and recommend to others.

Great location. Very very close to the slopes and the town centre. The rooms are a bit outdated but the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff make up for everything the room might lack. The hotel staff will go the extra length to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Praise go to the restaurant maitre, the waiters, the receptionists and the barmen for making our stay great!!
